Hugo and Valerie invites another couple out to the country, but what they don't know is that the vacation will end up in sex and swinging. When a local mechanic and his friend realize that they might have a chance to get groovy with the women, they're not gonna take no for an answer. A night of innocent flirting ends in crime and blackmail.
One 7 Movies are a mystery to me. They just exist. I don't know much about them, but I keep getting their releases to review. One thing is for sure, they care more about getting lost titles out, than what quality their releases have. The source for "Erotic Blackmail" is a shitty old VHS tape, which is very noticable when you get static and tracking all over the screen. I'm not even surprised that the source seems to jump and skip bits as well, at one point jumping to a random previous scene and then back to where it was. Is it worth releasing something like this? Preserving lost movies is great, obviously, but for full retail price I'd want something more than this. All that shit aside, how was the movie?
Take a hardcore porno and delete all the most graphic bits and I think you have "Erotic Blackmail". It takes a while to have anything plotlike, as it focuses mostly on sex. One couple invited another one to their home in the country, only to seduce them when they're not with their partner. I expected the actual plot to be the two local guys who end up taking advantage of the wives when the men are away, and it kinda is, but not for more than 5-10 minutes at the end. The guys, Etienne and Julien, invite the women out to party and hope to get some sweet lovin' out of it, but they're turned down. Later that night, when they're completely drunk, they invade their home and rape them. Although afterwards the women look pretty happy with what happened, so I don't know what to make of that. The guys then take photos of the passed out, naked women and use them for blackmail. All of this happens at the tail end of the movie, so the first 40-45 min are essentially filler.
The women look good, of course, so that gives it something to look forward to. There are some sexy scenes, one involving a car. It's hard to appreciate all that when you could watch a much better movie with much better scenes, so you have to take it for what it is. It's an empty movie, and I'm not surprised that it has pretty much been lost. I don't know who else than One 7 Movies would want to release it. Then again, that's why a company like them might be needed. Cheap releases but the movies are certainly unavailable.
"Erotic Blackmail" won't offer much. It has some sex and fine looking women, and ends in a very tame rape that left the women exhausted and smiling after. I'm probably stupid for expecting anything from a movie called "Erotic Blackmail", but I do, I expect something from movies I watch. Even smut. You shouldn't spend the full retail price for this, but if you're a big fanatic of the old, lost smut movies that One 7 Movies releases, then at least wait until you find it in a sale. I swear, it's not worth it otherwise.
