Plot:
A killer called "Babyface" by his mother, and "Mummy Maniac" by the media walks around the streets of New York dressed as a cop. He picks up random women and throws them into the back of his truck and takes them home. "Babyface" locks them in a room where he harrassess and tortures them.

Our thoughts:
There are some shitty movies out there, and "Mummy Maniac" definitely isn't one of the worst, but I think it might be one of the most pointless ones. You got the feeling that the team behind the film had no idea what they wanted to make, so instead of actually doing anything of any value, they just filmed the same scene over and over again using different actresses. Everything that I expected from this movie turned around and fucked me hard in the asshole. It's true, I felt penetrated by the lies on the cover. Now, the cover is really cool, Noble Entertainment should get some credit for that (or if that's a universal cover for this movie, I don't know). This is why I requested this screener from them. However, there is a little sign on the cover saying "Warning: Strong Scenes!", so of course I atleast expected some nice torturing, even if it wasn't realistic. Anyway..

The movie takes place mostly in a room where "Babyface" (I prefer that name to "Mummy Maniac") takes his victims to perform brutal torture onto them.. No, actually, scratch that.. He takes them to the room to talk to them, ask them their names, and occasionally point a gun to their heads and maybe smack their hands with something. This is the truth. It's brutal, I tell you! So, after doing that for a while, he starts wrapping their heads with bandages (media calls him "Mummy Maniac" because of this). Not until their heads are fully wrapped does he really attack them. He does this with various tools, like an axe or a pick, that he stabs into their heads. The only thing is that you only see close-ups of the bandage and that it's red. Not really "strong scenes". After they're dead he somtimes pulls up their shirts and takes a peak at their boobs. Does it sound silly? It's exactly that stupid. This happens like six or so times in the movie, pretty much the same scene but with a new victim. Like an audition tape. Between those scenes, we have a few scenes with his mother and him, often where he says he wants to die as a mummy. If it's not the mother and him, it's him and a psychiatrist. Yet, we find out very little about this fat prick of a killer. For some random reason there's also a naked girl in a tub that we see flashes of in shots. Maybe the film crew managed to find a girl who dared to be naked so they took advantage of that by just randomly insert her? I think it was one of the early victims, but why we see her through the entire movie isn't explained.

What can I say about this film that makes it atleast worth a watch? Honestly, not a damn thing. It's a total flop and their small budget isn't a good excuse. Budget doesn't matter when you can't write for shit. Now I'm gonna go and stab a pillow covered in fake blood with a knife, because that would in fact be more brutal than this piece of shit film is.

Positive things:
- Might be good if you wanna sleep.
Negative things:
- "Negative things"? That's silly, this is such a well-written and beautiful movie, filled with high quality special effects and excellent acting, there are no negative things here! Okay, that's not entirely true.
