A guy wearing a hoodie jumps out of his van in a calm neighborhood and pulls out a woman from the back of his van. He pulls her into his filthy house and locks her in a dark room. As the maniac comes back, he starts to stab her body repeatedly only to eventually start performing sexual acts on her.
I've seen this infamous short necrophilia film before, but was never sure if I was gonna review the film or not. I had a few reasons not to, but then again, if there is a necrophilia film that should be on Film Bizarro, then this is the one. There is no way anyone who has seen this film wouldn't agree. It has everything we stand for, most notably; blood, nudity and necrophilia. So here is my shot at giving this obscene piece of film a fair review.
The beginning of the film is pretty calm compared to what's to come, and it's certainly not very exciting. It has a neighborhood at night (or early morning). A few cars drive by until we eventually see a van. A man steps out from the van and takes out a woman from the back of it. He drags her into his house and up the stairs, where he starts screaming because he can't get her up the stairs (or if it was because she dropped her shoe?). This part is a bit ridiculous, because of acting I suppose (the acting of writer/director Mick Nards). But don't worry, the second he get her up the stairs it turns to somewhat of a underground masterpiece. It has the girl locked in a dark room with blue-ish light. She's completely naked with her hands and feet tied. She struggles to get her hands free but before she knows it the killer strikes back. He runs into the room screaming with a big knife in his hand and the girl has no time to run before he has started to butcher her with the knife. Her terrifying scream can be heard as the killer gets more and more covered in blood. He then spreads her legs and starts to finger and give oral sex to her now dead and gore-soaked body. Even though she's dead, we can still hear her moaning, which makes this scene even more depraved than it already was. The maniac finally starts to have sex with the corpse. This is where the film takes a turn that I'm not gonna reveal, but I thought it was a nice way to end the film. It made the whole thing seem less pointless (I love sick stuff like this, and I would've liked the film even if it was pointless).
Needless to say, "Nekro" is a ruthless film. It also impresses me that the film has a good artistic touch to it, even though it doesn't offer much more than many other short films do. However, mixing necrophilia with art house-ish films isn't anything new, we've all seen "Aftermath" and "Nekromantik". But for being as low budget and obscure as this film is, it raises itself in value for being more than just sick shit. The film has plenty of blood. It has some gore, but like always it's hard to see due to bad quality. However I believe it was intended to look like this when it was made. Very good film for people who enjoys depraved smut.
