As if seeing your parts dead from a murder/suicide wasn't enough, during their teenage years two sisters also have to witness the murder of their third sister when they're attacked by a couple of guys. These events trigger what's to come after the are let out of the mental institution, and they are out to kill every man they can find.
There was honestly no reason for me to buy "Psycho Sisters" other than I found it cheap. I was in the mood for something shitty and smutty, and at least I got something shitty out of it. Okay, it's not smut-free, but more could've been in there.
The backstory of our two lead sisters is just jamming it all in there to make sure we understand they are crazy. They witnessed the aftermath of their mother killing their father and herself (as well as chopping his cock off) at a very young age, and when they are teenagers they are kidnapped by some guys who end up killing their third sister. Of course, these two sisters had to live in a mental hospital for a couple of years. Once they are out, they start their revenge. And maybe, just maybe, they're exaggerating it a tad bit too much when they're going after any guy they can find (actually, maybe not, Jason Voorhees did something similar I suppose). Since the movie meets most clichés you can think of in a movie like this, we also have the police detective trying to find out who the killer is.
That the film is predictable and clichéd doesn't make it a bad watch at all, though. This is one of those films where it's absolutely fine for it to just be a bad story playing in front of our eyes. The focus for this film is quickly to just watch large breasted women kill men. And a lot of men are killed too, especially towards the ending where the writers of this film literally added as many as they could. Yes, they have about two kids, five male room mates, a police force and a biker gang in one house, simply to raise the body count. Most of these kills aren't gory though, so the body count makes no real difference to us gorehounds. But it was mildly amusing, I'll give it that.
It took a while to see it but the movie actually tries to be funny! Yes, it's dry and stupud humor, and sometimes you don't even see how it could've been joke as it failed so much, but at least it's there. This is something that gets better further into the film and you might get a laugh or two out of it, but overall you shouldn't expect anything too funny from it. Which is fine, it's still about the boobs and murders, right?`
"Psycho Sisters" is a stupid and bad movie, but it entertained me for the time being. You get some nudity (not all that much, though), some bland kills (gets extra gory at one scene) and some failed jokes, but if you've watched some of the bad Troma films out there you'll survive this. And actually, I'm surprised this wasn't released by Troma - it'd be perfect for them. By now I think you understand what kind of film this is. I only recommend it to fans of bad movies that contain a small amount of entertainment value (which is better than nothing).
